Series' the production values are also noteworthy
One of the series' strength is its composition. Aldis Hodge gives a strong performance as Alex Cross, showing his range as an actor. Hodge’s portrayal of a man struggling with personal and professional demons gives the character a depth that makes him both compelling and endearing. Isaiah Mustafa also shines as John Sampson, providing a strong support system for Alex.
One of the series' weaknesses are her pace
The cinematography and set design effectively capture the stark and atmospheric setting of Washington, DC, creating a sense of tension and unease. Series' music featuring artists such as Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers and Rick Ross adds to the atmosphere, heightening the drama and emotion. The first season can feel slow at times, especially in the early episodes, which may cause some viewers to lose interest. The series also gets too theatrical at times, overshadowing some of the more emotional scenes.
